The President and Bankroller of Real Krobo United Football Club, Mr. Jacob Partey, the Father of Ghana’s midfield dynamo Thomas Teye Partey, has revealed he will not be perplexed to see his son captaining the senior National team, the Black Stars of Ghana in the near future.
Speaking to GBC Sunrise FM- Koforidua, on their Saturday’s sports program dubbed “Sports World”, He added that “Ghanaians are praying for his son (Partey) to possess the captain’s armband of the national team in the near future”.
Thomas Partey scored Ghana’s first goal in the 2-1 victory of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers game against South Africa last Thursday at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
The Atletico Madrid star deserves Ghana’s captain armband as most Ghanaians concur. Black Stars deputy captain, Thomas Partey scored eleven goals, with five assists in His 28 appearances for the national team since 2016 till date.
