MATCH REPORT: Aduana Stars steal all three points with Bioh’s late strike to down Asante Kotoko at Dormaa.  

Aduana Stars smacked all three points in their Match Day 11 fixture of the Ghana Premier League against Asante Kotoko at the Nana Agyemang Badu II Park at Dormaa by winning 1-0.

Samuel Bioh’s late strike in added time was masterfully enough to award Aduana Stars’ hard work with all three points in an encounter that started with a theatric and folly play drama even before kick off.

Kwame Baah had to have a jest of what was to unfold in the game during the exchange of pleasantries when Subbe Nubbert elbowed him which left the goalkeeper on the turf and attended to by the medics just before kick off.

Both teams had to start with ten men each in the game as if there were injuries and called for substitutions but the teams played the whole half with Martin Antwi and Farouk Adams on the bench.

Aduana Stars started the game with a blast as they had a two quick goal scoring opportunities in the first five minutes but Yahaya Mohammed and Bright Adjei failed to give Aduana Stars a goal to unsettle the visitors.

There were not much to be talked about in the half except the drama that engulfed the start of the game. The game ended 0-0 at half time.

In the second half, both started with eleven men as Martin Antwi and Farouk Adams came on for Asante Kotoko and Aduana Stars respectively.

On the 54th minute, Elvis Opoku had his powerful low drive parried away by Kwame Baah for a corner kick for Aduana Stars.

Maxwell Konadu made like for like changes by bringing on Augustine Okrah for Emmanuel Gyamfi and Naby Keita for William Opoku Mensah to pounce on the tired legs of Aduana Stars.

Aduana Stars kept pushing for the goal but Tijani Joshua had his volley blasted over for a goal kick after Yahaya Mohammed had found him outside the box on the 79th minute.

Maxwell Baakoh came on for Sam Adams on the 84th minute and quickly had a chance to break the deadlock but his feeble strike was cleared away by Farouk Adams on the 87th minutes.

Samuel Bioh picked the ball on the flanks and made his way in the box by dribbling pass three markers in and outside the box and finally had his strike at the corner side inside the box beat Kwame Baah in a final kick of the game to give Aduana Stars a 1-0 victory on the 90+4 minute of the game.

Aduana Stars beat Asante Kotoko once again at Dormaa in a dramatic encounter at the Nana Agyemang Badu II Park at Dormaa.
