The Eastern Regional Football Association has paid an amount of GHc 4,000 out of an outstanding debt of GHc7,440 to the Referees Association in the Region.
The debt owed the Referees Association has been in outstanding since the 2019 Eastern Cup competition till the current RFA Executive Council took office.
At a meeting with the Executive’s of the referees at the Latter Day Saint Cultural Hall in Koforidua, the regional FA agreed to make the payment in installments.
The Executive Council after making the first payment is in the position to ensuring that payments will be done in instalment in the coming months to clear the outstanding debts of the referees.
