On December 7, Ghana will go to polls to elect a president to lead the country for the next four years.
This has necessitated Kumasi based Division Two club Jachei Youth Football Club to preach peace through football.
The “Gye Nyame” club has outlined four matches aimed at promoting peace among the youth and how to avoid violence in the general election.
The team believes it’s important that peace is maintained in the country during, before and after the election .
In Bosomtwe Constituency where Jachei Youth FC is based, on November 15, 2020 the team will lock horns with Christ The King FC at Jachei Sakasaka Anglican School Park and later play Kaase Young Chelsea at the same venue.
Jachei Youth FC will play Pakyi United on November 22, at Esereso Town Park and conclude it with a match with Vasco FC on November 29, 2020 at the Jachei Sakasaka Anglican School Park at 3:30pm.
In organizing such event, Mr. Francis Pinamang, President of Jachei Youth Football Club, said, Ghana is known in the world as peaceful nation and they are counting on Ghanaians to hold on to this mantra.
Mr. Francis pledge for peace and call on Ghanaians to maintain the Peace and Unity that the country was enjoying because , “United we stand, Divided we fall”,he added.
