Ex-Ghana international, Emmanuel Asare known in the football circles as Coleman is set to launch a football academy, with the name Asarit Academy Football Club.
The former Black Stars and Okwawu United player in a bid to set up an academy to help develop talents in the country.
Speaking to General Manucho of Gbc Sunrise Fm-Koforidua, he said, there are a lot of youthful talents that are untaped, hence his motivation to set up a football academy.
The Asarit Academy Football Club was derived from the spouse’s name , Asare and Rita combined to get “Asarit”, and the academy is located at Akutuase-Nkawkaw in the Eastern Region.
Currently, Eastern Regional Coaches Association Vice Chairman and Eastern Cup Champion, Coach Adolf Adu Botwey have been appointed as the Technical Director, while former Storm Academy team manager, Nana Brenya has been named as Team Manager of the academy established in 2020.
Emmanuel Asare played for the Black Stars for nearly a decade, featuring in most important tournaments for the nation in the 1990s.
