The Eastern Regional Football Association (ERFA) chairman, who doubled as Executive Council Member of the Ghana Football Association, Mr. Linford Boadu Asamoah has been applauded by coach Yussif Bassigi for the passion and step to establish Kotoku Rush Ladies Soccer Academy in Eastern Region.
“The Black Princesses Management Committee Chairman, Linford Boadu Asamoah developed love for women football during Black Princesses (U20) friendly game against the Moroccans Female Senior Team in Morocco few months ago.
“We met again in our preparing towards our qualifiers to U20 AWFCON and took the final decision”
“I embrace such great initiative from him and pledge my services to uplift the women club he is coming up with, because the ladies football in the country lacks quality”.
He expressed this in an interview with General Manucho of Gbc Sunrise Fm in Koforidua.
The justify for the Kotoku Rush Ladies Soccer Academy began on Saturday, October 31 and expected to end on November 8, 2020 at Akim Oda Methodist Park.
He encouraged all young ladies in Eastern Region and the nation to take part since these talented young ladies will get the opportunity to travel to the USA to join Rush Soccer Academy and other big women clubs in the world”
“Already four justified ladies who were good in day 1and 2 have been recommended for Ghana U20 female team since they deserve national call up.”
The Kotoku Royals FC President, Linford Asamoah has taken the bold steps to invest and develop women’s football in the Region and Ghana as a whole.
He urge all Ghanaians to rally behind him to improve ladies football.
