The two giants in Ghana Football Kotoko and Hearts has no place in the list of 30 top Clubs on the continent’s latest Africa Club rankings from Football Database System.

The research was conducted mainly on their performances in both their domestic leagues and the CAF Inter-club competitions until November 15, 2020.

Asante Kotoko are the first Ghanaian club to appear on the list, ranked 34th in Africa following their recent performance in the Normalisation Committee special cup and also consistent participation in the CAF club competitions.

However, the second team for Ghana wasn’t actually Hearts of Oak like the rivalry has mostly being, but rather Ashantigold SC who are placed 52nd on the list. Berekum Chelsea and Aduana Stars were both ranked 73rd and 76th on the rankings.

Giants Hearts of Oak were the 5th best Ghanaian club having finished 92nd on the list following their inability to partake in any of the Africa club competitions for almost five years now.
