The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Middle Belt Development Authority (MBDA), Lawyer Joyce Opoku Boateng has revealed that President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo is compassionate about work on the Nkawkaw Stadium Sports Stadium.
“In several occasions where myself and the President have met to deliberate on issues concerning development in the country. President Nana Addo has always inquired about how the stadium can be lifted to a world class standard”, she expressed.
Speaking to General Manucho of GBC Sunrise Fm Sports desks, Lawyer Opoku Boateng, disclosed constructors are at post working assiduously to ensure the Ultra Modern World-class Sports Stadium comes to reality.
“The government has allocated GH¢27m for the reconstruction of the stadium,which have been divided into phases with the first phase of the project costing GH¢14m while, phase two will cost GH¢13m and expected to be completed in two years “she noted.
The Middle Belt Development Authority has embarked on several Development projects in the Eastern region through the One million Dollars per constituency funding.
The MBDA has undertaking projects in building markets, mechanised Boreholes,police station,CHIPS Compounds and parks.
These projects can be found in all 33 constituencies across the region in similar shapes and design with varying sizes.
Nkawkaw Sports Stadium which host former Ghana Premier League giants Okwawu United had been abandoned for decades.
