Jacob Teye Partey, father of Arsenal’s newly signed Iconic midfielder, Thomas Teye Partey has revealed that spanish la Liga side Atletico Madrid (ATM) and manager Simeone played a key role in his son’s football career playing in Europe.
“Thank you very much ATM and Diego Pablo Simeone. I am glad my son played under such a wonderful manager and a prestigious club”, he noted.
He was grateful for the contribution of the club and the manager for the instrumental role they played which has brought other success today.
“Diego Simeone knows Partey better than anyone, having worked with him for five years in the Spanish capital” , he told General Manucho of Gbc Sunrise Fm.
“I can’t leave out the supporters of Atletico Madrid, He expressed his warm felt gratitude to them. He noted that his son has been reading messages which the fans write to him on his social media and that also has contributed immensely to making him who he is today.
Arsenal completed a £45million deal for Atletico Madrid star Thomas Partey on transfer deadline day.
“He will do his best to make the Arsenal team and fans proud and achieve many successes with the London based club”.
The 27 year old had his first training session with the Gunners today and expected to play his first league match against Manchester City this weekend.
